Document and Photo Scanning – Free
Ancestry.com is excited to provide Family History Day attendees the opportunity to have their family photos and historical documents scanned – for free – on our professional scanning equipment. It’s a unique opportunity to have your family history records digitized!

Sign up for a 10-minute scanning session at the show. Sessions are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Scanning Details (additional details to follow)

  • Approximately 25 documents/photos can be scanned in each 10-minute session. We encourage you to bring documents not easily scanned at home.

  • We can scan any document or photo type, but the maximum size supported is 22" by 15". Unfortunately we can not scan slides.

  • Please sort all of your documents and pictures by size, largest to smallest, before entering your session.

  • Allotted time will include any document preparation not completed prior to the scanning session, so proper preparation is crucial.

  • The scanned files will be saved to a thumb drive (provided by Ancestry.com) and given to attendees.
